Terms and conditions
Driver’s age:
The minimum age of the driver is 23 years old for categories economy, Α , Β, C, D1, F1 and 25 years old for all other categories.
Driver’s license:
The driver must have a driver’s license that has been issued at least a year ago and is valid in Greece. For driver’s licenses of countries that are not members of the E.U. an international driver’s license is required.
Traffic Violations – Fines:
All fines from illegal parking and violations of the traffic code that may occur during the rental period, are the renters’ responsibility.
What is included:
Two registered drivers
Also the second driver must fulfill the license requirements
Child’s Seat:
First child seat is free, charge for second seat is 3 Euro per day.
VAT Local Tax
This tax is applied by the government on car rental (23%) and is included in the price.
Airport Fee
No fees charged
Unlimited Mileage
Unlimited mileage is included in our rates.
Break Down Assistance
We offer a break down assistance around the island.
Insurance for driving on Ithaca Island
Limited insurance, conditions apply. It must be agreed in advance with the car hire company.

Prices include the following covers:
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
CDW on most cars has up to 500 Euros excess (payment up to 500 Euros is due if the accident/damage is fault of the renter, conditions apply). The CDW excess can be reduced by extra payments which are made locally:
To reduce the CDW from 500 to 50 Euros excess on groups A, B, C, E, F, G, H pay 10 Euros per day.
To reduce the CDW from 450 to 100 Euros excess on group D pay 8 Euros per day.
To reduce the CDW from 600 to 100 Euros excess on group W pay 8 Euros per day.
CDW with no excess is included in the insurance for groups F1 and D1.
Car Theft Waiver
Collision Damage Waiver with theft and fire insurance.
Undercarriage and tyres
Undercarriage and tyres are not insured.
Loss or damage of key
In case of loss or damage of car key during the rental, the renter is liable for charges (cost depends on the car model).
Insurance is not valid and is the renter’s responsibility when:
The driver is under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
The car is driven on non-paved roads.
The driver exceeds the speed limits.
The car is driven by a person that is not stated on the car rental contract.
The driver does not return the car on the date and time agreed by the rental lease.
Delivery charges
Some areas such as Fiskardo, Assos, Vassilikades and Lixouri regions have a delivery charge of 40 Euros.
Airport delivery is usually within the hours of 09:00 and 20:00. Outside these hours there might be an additional charge of 20 Euros.
Car hire conditions
Full details of car hire rentals are written on the back of the car hire agreement. In case of CDW (collision damage waiver) the cost of repairs is waived in the case of an accident where the driver is not at fault and follows the procedure outlined on the agreement (such as contacting the rental company etc.)
Payment
Payment can be made on arrival by credit card or debit card or cash. Although cash payment is often preferred by the car hire suppliers, they will take your credit card details for security reasons.
