When you are using our travel services, either online or over the phone, you may need to trust us with some personal information. This maybe be simply your email, phone number or in rare cases passport details needed by local laws.
This is a big responsibility and we work hard to protect this information.
With this Privacy Policy we want to help you, our client, understand what kind iformation we collect, or plan to collect in the future and why we collect it.
We also like to help you understand how you can update, manage, export, and even delete this information.
This updated version of our Privacy Policy takes effect on May 25, 2018, when the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes also into effect.
INFORMATION EOS TRAVEL COLLECTS
It is of most importance to us to make sure that you are fully aware of the type of information we collect when you use our services to book and when we are delivering the services booked (your bookings).
We collect information to better provide our travel service to you as a client and to help you have a smoother travel experience, before, during and after your holiday.
The information we collect, helps us communicate with you quickly, efficiently and preferably directly.
Things you provide to us
When you first contact us, you provide us with personal information that includes your name. We will create a profile for you. You can also choose to add a phone number or e-mail information to your profile. From our website you may like to provide us with an email address to receive updates about our services and latest offers.
Information we collect as you use our travel services
We collect information about the browsers, and devices you use to access the EOS TRAVEL web services
When using our website
We will collect anonymous browsing information to better understand how our clients use our pages and in order to help us improve the page functionality. We also rely on Google services to provide us with extra demographic and other data related to the use of our web-pages.
We will also use cookies to store preferences and pages you may select to store during your browsing and previous property pages.
When using myEos
In our holiday planner service (myEos), we collect information related to the use of the tools we provide you to use before, during and after your arrival (eg. Key location etc).
This information we share with you to help you better understand what you are missing in order to better prepare for your arrival.
When sharing some of this information (eg. flight details) with a third party (e.g. supplier) we will only share what information is needed for them to provide you with that extra service.
Specifically, they will only know your Name and Flight information. They will not know any other personal information. You will on the other hand have a contact number to liaise with them direct if this proves useful for the fulfilment of the service provided.
Personal information like Passport Numbers etc you may provide to us during your checking. They are kept safe in our backoffice. They maybe required by local authorities (in order to tackle illegal imigration etc.). In some circumstances we maybe required to keep this information for a period, and in accordance to local laws.
Your activity
We collect information about your activity in our website and myEos services. The activity information we collect may include:
- Terms you search for
- Views and interactions with pages
- Important links you have followed
- Purchase activity
We are committed to make available all this activity and help you manage this activity information in the near future. Currently you will need to request this by sending an email to EOS TRAVEL. We will be rolling out an option for clients to access their information themselves.
Your location information
We collect information about your location (IP) when you use our web services, which helps us confirm that you have viewed important links related to your arrival and in rare cases understand where you are located, to help put you back on track when visiting your property for the first time.
We use various technologies to collect and store information, including cookies, pixel tags and server logs.
WHY EOS TRAVEL COLLECTS DATA
We use data to improve our services. We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

We use your information to deliver our travel services.
Maintain & improve our services
We also use your information to ensure our services are working as intended, such as driving instructions to properties. We use the information to help us identify how comprehensive our services are and, combined with our client feedback, we improve specific parts or all across our services.
Especially your reviews, qualify as the best and most important feedback that we use for this purpose.
Develop new travel destinations and web services
We use the information we collect while providing our travel services, client’s use of our website and your reviews to understand what you need. For example, we will try to improve the cleaning service of a property if it drops below a certain standard and include new features in a property following your feedback. We will also direct our efforts to include more properties in destinations you visit more and search more on our website. Sometimes your feedback will help us add a new destination to our books.
Your use of our web services in myEos, will direct us to improve and develop new tools to help your holiday experience.
We don’t show our website or myEos personalised on sensitive categories, such as race, religion, sexual orientation, or health. We are actually committed not to collect such information ever.
We don’t share any kind of such information with our suppliers (owners, service suppliers etc).
Communicate with you
The main reason of collecting information with you is to eventually communicate with you directly. When you are coming from a advertising marketplace, your email is sometimes hidden from us. This can be a good thing when you are buying a DVD. It is a completely different story though when booking a holiday. You having direct access to our services and sensitive information like key locations etc it is of the outpost importance to a stress free and smooth holiday experience.
So we need your email for example to send you notification about payments, to inform you about upcoming changes to our services, local events that are happening during you holiday, ask you to review your holiday, offer you extra services like car hire, boat hire, transfers etc.
Protect EOS TRAVEL and our clients
Local laws or goverment inspections may require us to share some of your information to tackle illegal immigration etc.
We’ll ask for your consent before using your information for a purpose that isn’t covered in this Privacy Policy.
YOUR PRIVACY CONTROLS
myEos
myEos allows you to view your information associated with your holiday or service booked with us. Currently you do not have many options to manage you holiday or your personal information.
You need to request most of those from us to do it your behalf. We are committed to providing more and more option in the next couple of months.
Managing your data
You can also request to remove content from a specific EOS TRAVEL services based on applicable law.
To delete your information, you can ask us to remove for you:
- Content from specific EOS TRAVEL booking
- Your surname
- Passport details
- Extra emails end phone numbers.
- Delete your entire EOS TRAVEL record.
SHARING YOUR INFORMATION
We do not share your personal information with companies, organisations, or individuals outside of EOS TRAVEL except in the following cases:
With your consent
We’ll share personal information outside of EOS TRAVEL when we have your consent. For example, if you use EOS TRAVEL to book a car and it important for the pickup, we will ask to share your mobile number with a local supplier.
If more sensitive information is needed we will ask your explicit consent to share any sensitive personal information, like email etc.
For legal reasons
We will share personal information outside of EOS TRAVEL if we have a good-faith belief that access, use, preservation, or disclosure of the information is reasonably necessary to:
- Meet any applicable law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request. We share information about the number and type of requests we receive from governments in our Transparency Report.
- Enforce applicable Terms of Service, including investigation of potential violations.
- Detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security, or technical issues.
- Protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of EOS TRAVEL, our clients, or the public as required or permitted by law.
- We may share non-personally identifiable information publicly and with authorities— like boards of Tourism etc. For example, we share information publicly to show trends about the general use of our travel services. We also allow specific partners like Google to collect information from your browser or device for advertising and measurement purposes using their own cookies or similar technologies.

We always review our information collection, where we storage it, what kind of practices we use when processing it, what physical security measures we use, to prevent unauthorised access to our systems and sensitive information like key location/alarm codes etc.
EXPORTING AND DELETING
You can export a copy of your information or delete it from your EOS TRAVEL Account at any time. Just email us with a request at accounts@eostravel.eu
We will make sure in the near future you have an option that complies with global standards and you will be able to export a copy of you content in myEos (eosrentals.co.uk) if you want to back it up or use it with a travel service outside of EOS TRAVEL.
In some cases, we retain data for limited periods when it needs to be kept for legitimate business or legal purposes. There will be some delay before completely deleting your information as we will need to investigate in order to ensure we prevent accidental or malicious deletion.
COMPLIANCE & COOPERATION WITH REGULATORS
We regularly review this Privacy Policy and make sure that we process your information in ways that comply with it.
Data transfers
We maintain a minimum amount of servers. We are currently using well established online security services and we are planning to apply for well known and trusted security badges, subject of course to applicable data protection laws.
Should we receive a formal written complaint, we will contact you and the appropriate regulator to resolve any complaint.

As we are a European company, European Union (EU) data protection law applies to the processing of your information.
We provide this Policy as a guide to help you exercise your right to request access to, update, remove, and restrict the processing of your information. You also have the right to object to the processing of your information or export your information to another travel service.

We process your data to provide a travel service you’ve asked for under a contract with us. For example, we process your payment information when you book a holiday with us.

We may need to charge our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will let you know by e-mail or put a notice on our website.
We will change this Privacy Policy according to the needs of the company and applicable laws. We will always ask for your explicit consent if this affects your rights under this Privacy Policy. We will always indicate the date of charge and give you a copy of our previous privacy policy.
