Wonderful clean apartment with a beautifully kept garden of flowers, Olive and lemon trees. Lovely pool in the garden and sandy beaches and restaurants a short walk away. Fantastic place to stay and also to explore the rest of the area from.

Fantastic view, great owners....

Holiday Rating: 4

You don't get a sea view but the view of the greenery and mountains. Very quiet and pieceful area. The owners were friendly, nice local beach. Pool is clean apartments are spacious. Aircon and safe included in price. It pains me to write potentially bad things about these apartments. A positive if any is more to do with the area than the apartment. I believe Corfu is going through a bad patch much like the rest of Greece such as taxes, poor pay etc,i will attempt to write the following comments with some positive spins on them as we a great time but some people maybe put off -There was a lack of sunbeds, if you get the typical people that wake up and claim the your sitting on chairs or on the grass. There is a bar on the property which is reasonably priced, but it only opens at certain times and if the whole apartment doesn't use it, they close it. The shower doesn't have a holder, and there isn't a TV, I feel the apartments need a little uplift. The apartment and towels are only cleaned once a week (I think this is due to the current staff situation etc.).The local beach is nice, the restaurants and supermarkets are a walk away. Come here for a peaceful place to change and sleep. Hire a car and enjoy what the island has to offer.I would say possible don't bring any children that can't entertain themselves. I would still urge you to stay and not be put off, tourism is still currently the life blood of the island and Greece. Fran apartments is a catch 22 place that needs us to help it along. We had a great stay here.

The apartment was basic but very clean and adequately equipped for the four of us.

Holiday Rating: 5

We stayed for 8 nights in a 2-bedroom apartment. For info - it is known locally as Villa Frangis. Despite our arriving in the small hours of the morning we were greeted and shown to our apartment (although we had already made arrangements to let ourselves in). The apartment was basic but very clean and adequately equipped for the four of us. The rooms retain the heat but the aircon worked well. We often had the pool to ourselves and there were plenty of sun loungers both with and without shade. Nearby we would recommend: Pelekito (village) for a non-beach eating experience: left out of the gate, up the hill, left onto the main road, take the road opposite 'Ice Dream' (don't get me started on their vegan ice creams - yum!) and follow the road for a few hundred metres. Ammus for a pool bar by the beach: lovely pool, good food. Karbouris Taverna for a really close and lovely lunch or evening meal option (with a pool - but more chilled than Ammus). The kids would happily demolish their gyros & pitta. If you are thinking of taking a family to nearby Hydropolis, I suggest you go after 4pm and pay a reduced rate to stay there for a couple of hours; there is just not enough to do for the whole day and some of the slides are a little rickety. Agios Spyridon beach is nice and clean but can be quite busy. Acharivi beach is massively long and also really clean, team it with a trip to the supermarket and get a taxi back. Beaches at Kassiopi are small and busy. Go there for boat trips and a more lively nightlife. Note that Agios Spyridon is next to a lagoon; this attracts mosquitos particularly at dusk along the road back from the beach. In all - we had a well priced break in a lovely (often more expensive) area.

Kind owners and a good location.

Holiday Rating: 4

The husband and wife team of owners were kind, with the male owner even chatty in a charming mix of languages. A sweet, sandy beach was within comfortable walking distance for us adults (toddler legs required some assistance) "Ice Dream", a gelateria just up the hill towards Acharavi, served delicious ice cream- with a little playground for the kids The small kitchen had a full-sized stove and some decent pans Eating dinner on the balcony with a lovely view. The bedrooms were a bit dark The only places inside to sit down were the chairs at the kitchen table (or on the beds). This is fine when the weather is nice enough to sit on the balcony, but we had four days of rain during our stay and would have loved some comfortable chairs or even a couch The furniture and decorations were a bit run-down. Things didn't quite feel shabby, but not pretty either. It would have been nice if the shower head could have been hung (we were soaping up with one hand while the other held the shower head up)

Hi, accommodation good, bit dated but plenty of room, no clothes washing facilities though & owners wouldn't allow us to use their washing machine. Great location, quiet, lovely pool, kids really enjoyed that, minutes from the sea, local supermarket & taverna. Hire car was good as it wasn't brand new so no need to worry about excess on insurance. We had a great holiday. Thanks Rob

Agios-Spyridon-Corfu

Agios-Spyridon-Corfu

Agios Spiridon is only a small coastal neighbourhood, extension of Perithia village and consists of two beautiful bays overlooking the high Albanian mountain.
The place is North Corfu’s Natural Reserve and is recommended for those ones who are looking for a quite relaxing holiday, with nearby walks and excellent for birdwatchers and botanists.
Both the bays are very popular due to the fine sand beaches and get really crowded on the weekends.

Sports and nature

Sports and natureAgios Spiridon is North Corfu’S Natural Reserve. The reserve is just a short walk from the beaches. There are many birds, butterflies, wild flowers and fish living between the bushes of the lagoon and the little island which is separated with a tiny old bridge. Walk along the unspoiled trails and do not forget your camera as amazing photos can be taken. Organise your next walk through the olive grove, up to the surrounding hills and why not all the way up to the deserted village of Old Perithia. Horse riding is also available at Agios Spyridon and you can book at least the day before.

Nightlife

NightlifePyramid is a modern beach bar offering all types of entertainement and nightlife. Regularly live bands and named singers are hospitalised.

Culture & history

Culture & historyEvery year a Varcarola festival is organized in Agios Syridon. This is an old Corfiot event, where small boats, decorated with lights, sail along the tiny bay as local choirs sing traditional Corfiot songs called "cantades".
