Korinas cottage is a magnificent, Corfu stone house, nestling only 70 meters away from Agni beach, in a quiet place, with views to Agni Bay and to the panoramic surrounding hills. The cottage is a traditional Corfiot house, where the stone is the dominant element of the faith to the tradition and the nature of the area. It is an ideal place for relaxation, whether you are a young or an elderly couple, who would wish to be away from it all, but so close to them too.

Layout

Entering the outside gate you get into a stone paved garden, with parking space on your right hand side, a fixed BBQ further up and a very old traditional stone table with sitting facilities, just outside the main entrance of the house, underneath a beautiful pergola. The main entrance opens into a spacious area, where is a small, but well organized kitchen, separated from the master bedroom with the double bed, by a low wall. Sitting and dining facilities are available in this area and at the far right end a small alleyway is leading to a very spacious bathroom. The interior of the cottage is beautifully decorated, but with simplicity, so that the nicely built stone walls can offer at the maximum their tranquillity and warmth to the tenants. Barbecuing in the garden or dining al fresco in the evenings, just a few steps away from the roaring beach of Agni Bay, can only promise a memorable holiday, spent in this tranquil Corfiot cottage.

A great studio for 2 people. However, what makes the cottage extra special is the location in relation to Agni Bay and the excellent outdoor space. You can see and hear the sea it's that close! Agni is a super special small pebble Corfiot bay. Three excellent tavernas, cafe and cocktail bar. Suitable for those who like peace, quiet and tradition. Scenic walks along the coast. The cottage is comfortable, clean and perfect studio space for 2. Very pretty traditional character with stones walls and window shutters. Great outdoor space with bbq, sunbeds and stone table! A pool is not necessary as it's so close to the sea. A very special, little place.

Agni-Beach is a wonderful place to stay!! Its peaceful and quiet. The people around here a friendly, always try to help in every case. You have a lot of possiblities like hiking, boattrips, snorkeling, fishing or just chill. Korinas cottage is a small house with every Equipment you need. Outside you have a grill, sunchairs and place for the whole family and friends.

Absolutely fabulous time at korinas cottage, from the arrival to the unfortunate departure. The location is perfect, the cottage itself is rustic and has everything you need. The garden has sun all day and with a beautiful shaded area if you get too hot. Agni itself is a beautiful place with three exellent tavernas and our favourite korinas cocktail bar and kitchen. Fabulous place for a meal or just a drink with fantastic staff. We'll be back next year for sure.

What a great little cottage for 2 people who want privacy, intimacy and a fantastic setting just 50 meters from the bay and great restaurants and boat hire - loved Korinas cafe for the less formal meal and drink. Korina herself is lovely and very friendly . Brilliant holiday break and I would buy the property if it was for sale.....so great!

Twenty seven years ago I spent a summer just above Agni in Loustri, and each day I would walk down to the bays below....Agni was my favourite. And this year I returned to see it again. Older and wiser, I found a perfect place to stay (again) and this time very near the bay in Agni. Korina's cottage was perfect. It was nice to actually meet her, what a lovely person! The cottage was just perfect and I loved being able to buy groceries from the Corfu Town open market and cook up Greek feasts. There are also a few excellent tavernas on this private little bay......you can rent boats, and also simply sun bathe on the seashore just to the left of Taverna Agni. This little hamlet has a very nice feel. It seems to not be ruined by too many tourists. As Eleni said at the Agni Taverna - this is like Kensington, a bit posh and exclusive. But in the nicest possible way I think. I am hesitant to tell too many people about this special place. I never want it to be too ruined by crowds. It reminds me of where I am from - the North Shore of Oahu, but this is of course much smaller - and so far, not so ruined by takeover tourism.....thank you Korina for a very nice stay, and we'll be back in April 2019 to stay at your Olga's cottage!!!! Agni bay is an exceptionally beautiful little spot, with several taverns but very quiet though. People come by boat rather than by car. The supermarket is around 15 minutes by car but has a delivery service. The cottage is beautiful, the bed is comfy and it‘s a nice place to just relax there (or walk 1 minute to the beach)

We have visited the beautiful Agni Bay on three occasions now, staying in three different properties - all of them lovely and Korina’s Cottage is no exception. It is a delightful stone built cottage with a high ceiling, so feels spacious. Ideal for two. The bed is very comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. The long front terrace with shaded stone table, beautiful plants, sun loungers and glimpses of the sea is very inviting. The vicinity to the beach is perfect. Korina and her family live and work nearby and are friendly and helpful. We hope to be back soon for another relaxing holiday. Thank you Korina and EOS Travel.

Lovely break on Prosperos Isle

I would unhesitatingly recommend EOS Travel. All the various elements of the holiday - Cottage, taxi, car hire - were efficiently delivered, on time and as agreed. We stayed at Korinas Cottage in Agni which was a lovely little Greek house, very well equipped and with little touches such as inclusive air conditioning and safe box at no additional charge. Agni is quite remote down a winding lane but, in addition to local services - tavernas etc - there are footpaths both ways along the coast : even Kalami is only about a 25 minute walk away. We are not boat people but Agni is heaven if you do want to hire a boat. We drove to various places including Pantokrator Monastery, Kassiopi, and SAN Stfanos......all worthwhile trips.We had one or two health issues unfortunately, but we recommend the surgery in Dassia if you need a doctor, which we hope you dont.We had lovely weather until an enormous thunderstorm on the last day....which was quite impressive in its own way.Thanks to all at EOS who kept in close contact with us via e mail, prior to the holiday.

I've seen this studio on previous visits to Agni Bay for a meal. Finding it available was great, but from the outside I'd never realised it was as large or well equipped. Admittedly the journey is maybe not for previously only motorway drivers, but once in Agni Bay you can get about by boat, and with 3 fabulous taverna's and Katerina's Bar / snack Bar only about 50 metres away along with one of those small horseshoe picturesque beaches of Corfu what more could anyone desire for a totally relaxing short break. The Studio itself is extremely well equiped with Fridge Freezer, Full cooker, dining table and chairs, plenty of Crockery and cutlery a nice comfy bed, a bath with shower over and a massive patio with shaded parking and really comfy loungers. Fabulous, we will return.

Sehr schönes ruhiges Haus in Strandnähe Wir haben eine Woche in diesem Haus verbracht. Es ist ein komplett kern-saniertes Haus aus Natursteinen. Sehr sehr romantisch und wunderschön. Der Strand ist nur 3 Gehminuten entfernt. Allerdings eher für einen kurzen Aufenthalt geeignet. Des Weiteren gibt es 4 schöne Restaurants am Strand in denen man sehr gut essen kann. Auf Grund der Lage empfehlen wir ein Mietauto oder Motorroller Wir waren bis auf das Bett, welches unseren Maßstäben nicht ganz entsprochen hat, sehr zufrieden und kommen gerne wieder.

We stayed at Korinas Cottage in the last week of September 2017 and it was really wonderful. The Cottage: It is approx 1 minute from the little bay of Agni which has three tavernas - Agni Bay which was lovely and we had dinner their once, then Toulas which is more expensive but I would say really worth it. The food is amazing and it feels really special - we went for gin and tonics after we came off the beach and had dinner there many times. The Bay is lovely and we hired a boat from Agni Bay for two days and visited the little bays to the North of the Bay - Agios Stephanos is wonderful as is Kouloura Bay - we also walked along the coastal path to Kalami and then onto the other bays which is all walkableWe also hired a car which we picked up from the airport which was around 100 euros and we did use it quite a bit and went up into the mountainsThe cottage is excellent value if you are looking for somewhere which is very cosy and you won't be in there much anyway - the bed is very comfortable and nice lighting which is very important to me!

Great cottage with everything you need

Great cottage with everything you need including a huge front garden area for sunbathing and parking. The location of Korinas cottage is good giving instant access to the beech and taverners but just far enough away to sit and relax in the front garden if you fancy a bit of privacy. We hired a boat from Agni boats and enjoyed a gentle trip up and down the " mind blowing " coast stopping along the way to enjoy the local beers and snacks in the various tavernas our favourite beeing the wave bar . Kassiopi. All in all a great holiday and looking forward to next year as we will be going back to the same spot and will be contacting Eos as soon as we have decided on the date. Thank you Eos .

Stand-alone verblijf aan rustige baai Een ruime studio met uitgebreide keuken en grote badruimte. Ligt 20 meter vanaf een doodlopende weg, dus weinig verkeer en de auto op eigen terrein. Met aanwijzingen van reisorganisatie goed kunnen vinden, maar met coördinaten in de navigatie nog beter. Aan de Agni Bay staan in totaal 10 huizen en 3 restaurants, waar vele insiders op af komen. We hadden er met zijn tweeën een prachtig verblijf gedurende 7 dagen.

Korina's cottage is beautiful, surrounded by trees and just a few steps away from Agni bay. The cottage is very comfortable with a full kitchen and a huge front yard with sun loungers and chairs. The cottage is entirely made of stone as described in the listing and is really lovely. We met the owner Korina who lives just across the street. The area around Agni Bay is very serene and idyllic, perfect for a relaxing vacation. Communication with Sofronios and the rest of his team was smooth and efficient. He arranged for a rental car to be delivered to the cottage on our first day, which was really convenient for us. He also gave us a lot of information on things to do in the area, driving directions, etc. The only thing that was a bit unexpected was that none of the tavernas or shops around Agni bay were open when we visited (mid-April during the Easter weekend). We would've appreciated being told about this just so we could've been better prepared. The closest village where things were open was Nissaki, about a 5 minute drive on the highway. We found out later that everything opens up by the first week of May. That being said, Easter weekend in Corfu was absolutely lovely, so we didn't mind so much that everything wasn't open. We would love to visit again and stay in Korina's cottage for longer.

Agni Bay - Corfu

Agni Bay is one of the most popular spots on the North East of Corfu island.
It is only 24 kms away from the town and the airport, easily accessible by boat or car, even though the road is quite steep.
Agni is a small traditional neighborhood of Gimari community, set in a very picturesque bay with amazing views and features three tavernas, a couple of boat hire companies and a coffee-bar.
The place is rather modest and peaceful.The bay can get crowded with yachts and posh boats especially during daytime.
Some of the tavernas are offering a sea taxi transfer and it is an ideal place for a relaxing holiday away from them all.
Quite a few villas are spread on the slopes of the surrounding hills and a lot of trails are offering hiking opportunities to the adjacent bays or Gimari village.

Sports and nature

Exploring and walking There are some beautiful coastal and scenic walks where you can visit nearby bays, the picturesque little harbours of Kalami or Kouloura (approx. 25 min. Walk), which are one of the best highlights of the northeast coast of Corfu, then Kerasia (approx. 45 min. walk) and San Stephanos (approx. 1h 35 min. walk). On the other side of Agni you can reach Nisaki beach (approx. 25 min. walk), which is an isolated and unspoiled beach with vivid green and crystal water and a little further Kaminaki (approx. 40 min.walk) with two traditional taverns. Water sports Water sports can be found in the adjacent bay of Kalami, on the left hand side of the harbour or you can hire a boat and explore the unspoiled beaches of the northeast coast, becoming your own captain.

Nearest night life opportunities in Kassiopi, approx. 12 kms away, with local taxis available on request.

Culture & history

Local festivals On the 21st of May is the name day of Saints Constantine and Helen. The locals celebrate the name day of the Saints with a festival in the back yard of the church. There is plenty of food with "souvlaki" or grilled lamb and soft drinks, retsina wine or beers. The people are dancing to traditional Corfiot and Greek songs played by a live band. During the summer season, the festival of pie is organized at the same place. Local ladies are cooking their own pie recopies and offer them for free to everyone joining the party with a local band and traditional dances. Every year the locals organize a Varcarola festival in Kalami. This is an old Corfiot event, where small boats, decorated with lights, sail along Kalami bay as the choirs of the Municipality sing traditional Corfiot songs called "cantades".
