General
Villa Angelos is a typical Corfiot villa with private pool, in the peaceful area of Almyros Corfu, just a couple of kms before the town of Acharavi. It is a charming property with the main feature of the beautiful gardens and the traditional Corfiot style. It is located very close to the beach of Almyros, in a quiet area with countryside views.
Layout
It features an open plan kitchen with a living and dining room area, decorated with a fireplace. It also houses two double bedrooms, one twin and two shower rooms. At the front of the property, ground balconies connect the villa with the swimming pool and provide al fresco memorable dining facilities among palm trees and beautiful flowers.
Villa Angelos is less than a kilometre away from the nearest shops and tavernas. The popular Almyros beach, located just 300 meters away from the villa, can be accessed by foot and the numerous footpaths, surrounding the property, can become a good excuse for those who love hiking in the early morning or in the spectacular evening hours, watching the sun dipping in the sea.
Due to the afternoon cooling north-westerly winds blowing most of the time, the villa provides only the facility of ceiling fans and not specifically air – conditioning. In addition and for those moments that you will wish to try your cooking skills, the build – in BBQ in the courtyard will provide you a great assistance.

Lovely family villa

We stayed in Villa Angelos for two weeks in August 2020 and had a fab time. The villa was spacious and comfortable - a real home from home. The outside space was immaculate with a larger than average pool. I would highly recommend both the villa and Corfu.

Nice 3 bedroom house with beautyful garden, shady patios and a great pool. Just 300 m to a fine sandy beach. Tavernas and bars 300-500 m to the left when at the beach, where the sunset can be enjoyed. 5 min drive to the nearst village with small supermarkets and restaurants. The property owner has been very accommodating, and we definately recommend this place

Excellent base. Location close to beach and amenities. We went to different spots every day. Kassiopi, Agni, Kalami, Kaminki, Agios Sycipos. We did a mountain bike tour with C cycles in Acharavi and a boat hire from North Corfu boat hire. We dived with Dive Easy. The villa is very nice with a good sized pool and beautiful garden. Very peaceful. Nice terrace to eat on. Cats not particularly friendly

Villa Angelos is a lovely cottage surrounded by a beautiful garden and includes a really nice swimming pool. It is about 250 m from Almyros Beach on the east side of Acharavi. The villa was very clean and appeared just as the photos. We were four people and found it to be very comfortable. The outside eating area and barbeque are really enjoyable. Check in was easy and communication was very good. The villa is managed by Eos Travel and they also arranged a rental car for us. The car was a necessity to get around as the villa is a good 30 minute walk from Acharavi. We did find the beds rather hard for our softer North American tastes, but we used some of the extra bedding to add padding to the mattresses and that helped alot. Also, it was necessary to purchase all the basic necessities upon arrival as these (soap for bathrooms and kitchen, salt, pepper, sugar) were not provided. Overall, we had a wonderful stay at Villa Angelos. Corfu is absolutely beautiful and we would love to return. Thank you, Sofronios

Villa Angelos is in the perfect location. It is a short walk from Acharavi beach, the quieter part with lovely clear water and nice sand, although pebbly at water's edge and first part of water, then sand bar further out). Great for kids snorkelling. No ice-cream kiosk / shops though. You have to travel to Acharavi for that (5 mins by car). The town has lots of shops, great supermarkets and restaurants. Coffee 'n' juices was great for ice-cream and The Pumphouse was lovely for food. As mentioned in other reviews the villa is dated inside but kept clean. The bathrooms especially need to be updated. The air-con in the bedrooms is great but the winning part of this villa is the garden and pool. They are immaculate - a lovely place to spend time. The pool goes from 0.99cm to 1.8cm deep. We visited Sidari (beautiful but very busy), Agios Georgios (deeper water), Corfu town and Aqualand (great day out). We had a great holiday and would visit again. Eos were very quick to answer any queries (DVD remote missing - arrived within half hour). Owner lives next door but shielded by bushes so very private.

Amazing holiday

The location was ideal. Just a 2 min stroll to the beach and then a 5 min stroll in the other direction to a little supermarket and the lovely Mythos Taverna. The villa had everything we needed and the cleaning service (twice in the week) included fresh towels which was helpful. The gardens and pool were outstanding. Beautifully kept and our boys loved the pool and playing football on the lawn. Beds were comfy and air conditioning was appreciated.

The villa was fantastic, the space inside was superb for us and the garden pool were well maintained cleaned sorted every day.To say we were the first in for the season after a long winter everything was better than expected.It's less than 5 minutes walk to beach where you can sunbathe or enjoy long walks. We walked to Acharavi during the morning on a number of occasions where the shops restaurants were really good.The cleaner Irania was very efficient, friendly, helpful and immediately sorted any minor problems.Can't say any more other than we hope to visit Villa Angelos again.

Villa Angelos.Great villa, great space and great location.Three bedroom villa enclosed in a large totally enclosed garden. Ideal for families.The large swimming pool will provide endless hours of pleasure and yet the beach is just 2 minutes walk from the gates of the property. Dining out could not be better catered for as there are a number of Tavernas within easy walking distance and without exception the quality of food and service is of a high (Greek) standard in all. An excellent villa with a superb swimming pool, situated centrally in a large lawned garden, surrounded by tall hedging and colourful flowers, making it very private and yet only a short stroll to a quiet beach, and within easy walking distance of several tavernas. Located near the beach in Almyros, and off a seldom-used lane, it is quiet and undisturbed, great for relaxing, reading a book with a glass of wine and a plate of olives, and jumping in the pool to cool off under an Ionian sun. There are three patio areas to choose from, so it's easy to find somewhere cool to relax in the heat of the day. Two decent-sized shower rooms, and three comfortable bedrooms, and a comfortable lounge/dining room make this a villa we'd certainly like to return to.A short car drive away (two or three minutes), or a slightly longer walk along the beach, is the attractive town of Acharavi, where there are shops, supermarkets, bars and tavernas to suit everybody. Really a very very nice villa. Let's start with the location - less than 4 minute walk to the nice beach. Also, it's a short drive to the village with mini-markets, rental cars, shops, and restaurants. The property is clean, the gardens very well kept and the pool is really nice. Some of the furnishings are a bit dated - exactly as you see them in the photos. This is not a problem, just setting your expectations. The housekeeping was very good and the housekeepers were very responsive. Everything was great, our family would return anytime.
A very good location on Corfu... A good home-base to explore the beaches and the island. Walking distance to the very nice beach. Less than a 5 minute drive to stores and restaurants. Would give it a 5 , however, you'll need a car.

Great Outdoor space and pool. Within walking distance of beach. Living room area a little small for 5 people but sufficient. The showers need updating as one did not close properly and the other was very small. Convenient to town as long as you have a car. A/c worked great at night.

A little haven of tranquility close to the beach and local town

This was our first villa holiday and stay in Corfu. We had a great time and were really impressed with the villa. The garden and pool were well looked after and secure. The garden wrapped round the whole villa which was great for our 2yr old to run around and play without too much supervision. The kitchen was well equipped and the outside bbq was brilliant. We bought supplies from the local supermarket (5mins away by car) and had a great mix of eating in and out during our stay. Towels were replaced throughout the week and if we needed to do any washing we could use the machine. The beach was within walking distance as were a few bars and tavernas so if you didn't want to go out and about everything you needed was on your doorstep. It was one of our best holidays as a family and would recommend the villa to anyone. The weather in late May was perfect, mid-20s, and the villa had such great outdoor space we made the most of it. Two of the three bedrooms opened out onto the poolside patio and we had our breakfast, lunch and dinner there most days! A really sociable space in the lovely area of Acharavi.

Almyros-Corfu
Almyros is part of Acharavi, an unspoiled countryside area, with an amazing beach and hiking facilities.
Acharavi is situated on the northern part of Corfu (Kerkyra).
It comprises a main road (the commercial center of the North) with plenty of restaurants, bars, shops, supermarkets and a bank. Leading off the main road, various side roads end up at the beach, just around 10 minutes walk.
It has been established itself as one of the top resorts on the North of Corfu and is particularly suited to couples and families due to the wonderful beach and facilities provided.
It is around 40km from the airport and it takes about an hour to get into Acharavi. The scenery on the journey is stunning as this is through the mountain and quaint old Greek villages.
The roundabout in the center of Acharavi is called “The Pump”, because this one used to be the village pump.
A road leads from the roundabout into the old village of Acharavi. This is often missed, but well worth a stroll as there are more bars and restaurants and older more traditional buildings in there.
Should someone wish can continue this road and drive up to the top of mount Pantokrator through unspoiled villages and nature.
Sports and nature
Diving holidays is a popular water sport with local excursions available such as wreck, reef, and cave diving for beginners and more experienced divers. In the center of Acharavi is Corfu Diving Center and Adonis will be happy to book you on next day’s activities. Theme parks are a good place to spend an afternoon and Hydropolis Water Park is a very nice place to chill out. Boasting giant water slides, lazy rivers, and a fully equipped outdoor gym with tennis courts, Hydropolis water park guarantees excitement for adults and children. Walks through unspoiled trails to the top of mount Pantokrator or to the various small tardiitional vilages and settlements can only be a joy.Nightlife
Acharavi is a lively little resort boasting many tavernas and bars. Delicious traditional Greek meals are served, washed down with some of the Greek wines or ouzo. Head to the beach area for cocktail bars showing the latest films, join a karaoke night or enjoy al fresco dining in the quieter tavernas as the sun sets over the Ionian Sea.Culture & history
Worth visiting the ruins of the Roman baths probably part of a larger Roman building complex in north Corfu. This monument was destroyed during the construction of a road and the preserved section was discovered in private land in 1985. The preserved part of the building includes the hypocaust and the channel that carried water in the baths. Just accross the road is the Folklore Museum of Acharavi, inaugurated in October 2008. The museum has a rich collection comprising of: Photographic material, books and documents dating back to 1862 and a specialized nomismatic collection from the period of the Ionian Islands independent state (19thcentury), Local costumes dating back to 1800, folk house furniture, a cart, a harrow, a plow and other agricultural objects, a traditional olive press, shoe-maker’s and carpenter’s workshops, wine and distilled alcohol producing devices, a traditional kitchen space, a traditional bedroom, a religious space and much more.Read more
