The apartment was good, good location, cozy, calm, small dream house, amazing balcony. The most annoying part was mosquitos. There was a bad smell from the pipes (bathroom) since it was too hot. Kitchen was not good enough. Bathroom either.

Holiday Rating: 4

Very nice town, the best in Corfu to find a little bit of nightlife and shops. You could visit every day a different beach and they are very beautiful. You can take a scooter or a car to go around. The food is very good and not so expensive.

Holiday Rating: 5

Lovely setting make sure you follow the directions which we did not and apatment is not easy to find. EOS were very helpful and friendly which was our experience of all people from Corfu. Food is absolutely lovely. We have had a great time. The only drawback is that there are a lot of mozzies everywhere.

Perfect location

Holiday Rating: 4

Excellent place to visit the city and have a relaxed holiday. It is indeed very centrally located at the border of the old town, near the sea side, at the foot of the new fortress, and above-all very quiet in the car-free surroundings. The roof terrace is also very convenient.

Would happily give more stars, but the air-conditioning on the second floor was not okay.

Holiday Rating: 5

Bykart og tips om "what to do" kunne også ligget i huset.

A pleasant and quiet apartment in the old town of Kerkira.

Holiday Rating: 5

Beyond expectation and amazing service from EOS from booking to departing.

Holiday Rating: 5

he appartment exceeded my expectations. Someone has taken a great deal of care in setting it up and using the space really well. It is really well located in old town but also really quiet being at the back of the building. The terrace compensates for a smallish living space inside and is glorious on a sunny day. Both bedrooms were generous in size. We could open our two really large cases in the master and have plenty of room around the bed. The building is, from what we can see, inhabited by locals in a local residential block. They all welcomed us first with a brigh "Kali Spera" then as we walked past them more and more, a more informal "yassas". I would not trade that feeling of being welcome in a local neighbourhood for any hotel anywhere. What can I say, good location, clean, well fitted and set out, comfortable bed with nice linen, great terrace, felt safe, had two WC,s (a huge plus) and just an all round great find. BUt ... The biggest plus beyond that was the service we got from EOS. Their communication was way beyond what we have ever had in the past. They could not do enough to ensure our stay was perfect. Everything from extensive directions to the appartment to the follow up contact was exceptional. I can't say enough good things about them. Thank you Stefanos and team at EOS.

Location Corfu Old Town Location

Holiday Rating: 5

Aspasia maisonette is centrally situated in Old Corfu Town. A few minutes' walk takes you to shops, tavernas, the port and nightlife of Corfu. The maisonette sleeps 5 persons with a double bedroom, twin bedroom upstairs and another comfortable single bed in the dining area which acts as a sofa in the kitchen/diner. The upstairs room has en suite wc and hand basin as well as a terrace with table and chairs; downstairs has a wc and shower room. Kitchen is well equipped with all you need for preparation of snacks and breakfast (small cooker with 3 rings, oven and grill). Flat screen TVs in both bedrooms and a radio in the kitchen/diner. There is wi fi and air-con and for low season heaters are in place in the bedrooms. This was most welcome as Corfu can be a bit chilly in March. Beds are comfortable and the accommodation has a homely feel with artwork on the walls and was very clean. The nearest taverna 'Marina's' was about 2 minutes' walk and the food and service were excellent. The very welcoming Mrs Aspasia lives next door and invites you to call by for anything you might want. Managed by Eos Travel in Corfu who were very helpful and arranged taxi transfers for my visit. Thanks guys I had a lovely time and will be back.

The apartment is clean, well renovated and very quiet in the center of Kerkyra. Good communication before arrival, during the stay and before leaving. Having a second toilet upstairs is very comfortable. Also the roof terrace is plus for the stay.Due to the humidity the wall in the kitchen is a little bit moldy. This should be maintained regularly. There should be a better description to find the apartment, the map doesn't show the Albert Cohen square.

very good stay in old town Corfu

Holiday Rating: 4

We really enjoyed the townhouse Aspasia during our 6 nights stay. It's well located, at about 5 to 7 minutes to the main parts of the city ( monuments, shops, restaurants, the buses stations as well), the environment -neigbourhood is made of the well known and restored old synagogue, a mix of very old houses at the bottom of the new fortress, beautiful trees and other plants, so it's very nice when you arrive to the house. It's nicely furnished and well equipped ( even if one or 2 things could be improved). There is enough space for the whole members of a family of 4. The terrace is also relaxing when it's not too hot outside. The housework is done by a cleaning lady who comes every 3 days, so it's also very comfortable from that point of view. We recommend this flat for a stay with a family with teenagers. Best regards from FRANCE

This appartments is good located, just 5 min from the center of the Old Town. It is clean and comfortable. There are two toilet, two bedrooms, terrase and kitchen. Also you find refrigerator, stove, coffee maker, washing machine. The shower is small and may be not comfortable for baby but it is likely you find the same at any other appartments located in old buildings. The host is always in touch with you via sms or email and ready to solve any problem. When we booked the appartment, it has been the best offer for the price 90 euro/day. I recommend this appartments if you wanna stay in Kerkira.

Corfu

Corfu

Corfu town is one of the most charming and romantic places of the whole Greece.
It is a perfect example of ancient Venetian and Byzantine art that will be able to fascinate you with its little streets and panoramic points.
Surrounded by the sea, the town of Corfu is closed between the two ancient fortresses.

The town of Corfu is located in a strategic position at the entrance of the Adriatic Sea, and has its roots in the 8th century BC. The three forts of the town, designed by renowned Venetian engineers, were used for four centuries to defend the maritime trading interests of the Republic of Venice against the Ottoman Empire. In the course of time, the forts were repaired and partly rebuilt several times, more recently under British rule in the 19th century. The mainly neoclassical housing stock of the Old Town is partly from the Venetian period, partly of later construction, notably the 19th century. As a fortified Mediterranean port, Corfu’s urban and port ensemble is notable for its high level of integrity and authenticity.
It will be an unforgettable experience to spend hours and hours just walking up and down along thousands of small paved streets, looking around to discover the old town secrets and buying some presents to bring back home. Buy traditional products in ancient cellars, surrounded by stone staircases, old Venetian walls and hidden gardens.
Every single building, every single street will appear like an open museum, but the joie de vivre of the local people will remember you that the old town is also full of life and full of surprises.

In the beautifully preserved Old Town of Corfu, a UNESCO world heritage site, Renaissance, Baroque and Classical “repertoire” came to be successfully applied to local artistic traditions. Palaces, fortresses, austere public buildings of the Venetian rule uniquely blend with lines of drying washing in tiny alleyways and small secluded squares. Strolling through a complex of narrow cobbled streets with stairways and vaulted passages, the so-called “kantoúnia”, will make you feel as if you’ve travelled to Venice or Genoa.

A romantic walk from the old fortress all the way along the coastal pavement, around Garitsa bay, will lead you to the far end of the bay, where an Windmill (Anemomylos as is called in Greek) is decorating this part of the town. Enjoy a coffee or a drink at the little caffe in the windmill watching the moored boats and the luxury yachts all around the bay.

Just 1.5 km up the hill, at the back of the Windmill, “rest” the traces of the ancient city of Corfu (8th cent. BC) is the green estate of Mon Repos, which spreads over 258 acres of lush vegetation and beautiful gardens, which adorn scattered fragments of ancient memory.
In the estate of Mon Repos, which occupies most of the hill of Analipsis (the Ascension), built his summer mansion in 1831, the British High Commissioner of the Ionian Islands Frederic Adam for the sake of his beloved wife Corfiot Nina Palatianou in plans English architect Gouaitmor (Whitmore).
In 1864, after the Union of the Ionian Islands with Greece, the city of Corfu gave the palace and gardens in the dynasty of George I in order to use it as a summer residence. King George I was also the one who gave him so graphically the name Mon Repos (My Rest).
Just on 1991 the Justice ruled that the Mon Repos belongs to the people of Corfu. In this decision helped a lot and the ruins of ancient temples, the best preserved, which according to the archaeological evidence is believed to belong to Apollo, the oldest and largest, as also the scant evidence of Akraia Ira, like the other signs left by the time, since in this area was the extended Paleopolis, part of the ancient city of Corfu. It is worth noting that until 1991 the access to property for guests was impossible.
Sightseeing:

Corfu’s pedestrian-only old town is a warren of crumbling Venetian-style buildings, Italianate churches, chic boutiques and rustic tavernas. Locals gather on the Spianada, a vast green space where they play cricket, and the Liston, a 19th-century arcade sheltering a string of cafes. Guarding the town and accessed from the Spianada, the Old Fortress juts out into the sea, while the New Fortress commands a hilltop position behind the old town.

Culture & history

Culture & historyCorfu (Kérkyra), unlike the rest of Greece, never fell under the Ottoman oppression. Due to the successive dominations of the Venetians, the French and the British over the centuries. Their culture wielded strong influence in the city: it was here that the first Greek University (the Ionian Academy), the first Philharmonic Orchestra and the First School of Fine Arts were founded. At the historic building of the Ionian Bank was housed the local currency cutter, as Ionian bank was the first one aloud to cut Greek bank notes.
