Heaven on earth

Holiday Rating: 5

We loved our stay at Villa Regina, it was quiet and had amazing views from the garden. Fab swimming pool too. The villa was very well equipped with everything that you could possibly want. We ate out at the restaurant which was just at the bottom of the hill, magical place. We slept in the morning we had to leave so it was one mad dash, sadly we didnt have time to put the rubbish bags in the bin, sorry for that. Hope to be back again soon

We had a great stay at Villa Regina

Holiday Rating: 4

The accommodation was as good as we have expected it from the photos. The pool and the view were fantastic. The house was clean, tidy and well equipped. We liked the places to sit together. The neighbours were very nice and helpful. For travelling we advise to rent a car. The contact with Eos Travel was good and they were always willing to help.

Delighted

Holiday Rating: 5

Wonderful location overlooking Agni Bay with its 3 Tavernas and cocktail bar within an easy walk from Villa Regina, although you need a little fitness to walk back up the hill! We loved our week and walked to Kalami, the next Bay along regularly to top up supplies from one of their two private supermarkets and to enjoy their Tavernas for fresh orange juice, meals and beach/sea activities. We did our main shop at Aldi, on our way from the airport. We had noted from previous reviews that there were no basic essentials provided which we felt was a pity - having to purchase all essentials and then leave them assuming that the next guests will not benefit. Have asked that this be reviewed. We would love to return to this perfect location and comfortable Villa.

Agni Bay,

Holiday Rating: 5

A great location. Its less than 1km from the sea, but the road is very steep. A hire car s a must: the nearest supermarket is about 3 km, although the supermarket in Kalami will deliver.

The location, the view and the tranquility of Villa Regina are magnificent.

Holiday Rating: 5

We have had a wonderful stay at Villa Regina, if anything the photos don’t it justice!

Holiday Rating: 5

We have had a wonderful stay at Villa Regina, if anything the photos don’t it justice! The location is gorgeous, the very steep drive up to the villa is a bit nerve wracking but you get used to it, and it’s totally worth it for the incredible views. The local tavernas are all lovely, our favourite being Nikolas taverna for its great atmosphere and food. The nearest shop is about 1.5 miles away in the next bay, it’s well stocked with basics but we did a big shop in the Lidl at the airport to get stocked up. We hired a boat from Agni boats one day which is a must do, also had days out to Paleokastritsa and Corfu Town which we can highly recommend. The villa is spotlessly clean and having a housekeeper half way through the week was appreciated. It has plenty of amenities, it would have been handy to have a small amount of salt, pepper and oil but that’s a minor thing. The communication was quick and clear, we couldn’t be happier with that. The age range of our group was 11 to 67 and we have all loved the holiday, so much so that we will probably rebook for next year. We couldn’t get over the incredible pool and stunning view, we’ve all fallen in love with it and can’t wait to come back! ”

Excellent Villa. Great Views. Parking a pain. We all enjoyed it very much. The pool out of this world. Fab views towards Albania. The only minus point was access and parking. Other than that - terrific!

It is in a spectacular location and very professionally managed. Amazing views! The access comes via a very pretty but very steep and narrow drive from Agni Bay. It's manageable, and it was fun for us, but if you are anxious about things like that it may be a bit of a challenge. Agni Bay and its neighbors are enchanting and the locals are of the kindest nature.

Piece of paradise...but the road to it could be treacherous

Holiday Rating: 5

We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Regina. The villa itself is spic-and-span, modern (inside) and has everything you need. Three separate bedrooms with their own toilets and showers. AC and other amenities are fine. The pool is great. And the view is really fantastic from up there. The connection is fast and steady although the thick wall do block it at some spots. I do have to mention the maid came only once in the 8 days although the original notice said it would be twice a week. But I could get it wrong and frankly we did not care much about this..The sun is there from around 7 am till about 6 pm. The only issue is there is absolutely now shade until about 2 pm. In the morning, the sun is really gentle and very good for your tan but afterwards it becomes too much and you have to stay in the water most of the time if you stay in. We actually did not (which is quite natural), except for one occasion (see below) - we would go to the beach and would come back when the absence of the sun.

Overall, a thoroughly lovely villa, would recommend.

Holiday Rating: 5

Stayed for a week just after Easter (April 2017) with the kids (big kids, late 20's) We all enjoyed it, making use of the BBQ and pool despite the weather. The villa is very well equipped, 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, all with hair dryers. Nice and clean but very limited provisions so needed to buy cooking oil etc just for a week which was a nuisance. Took about 45 mins to get into Corfu town, kassiopi has nice eateries and is closer. Agni....sadly completely closed til May which was v disappointing. Eos were easy to deal with, helpful and quick to respond. Would love to return later in the season, when Agni is open. I'd suggest a small car in order to get up the steep hill to the villa and squeezing onto the drive trying to protect from scratches can be an issue as it's not easy to see hidden steps etc Overall, a thoroughly lovely villa, would recommend.

Accurate description. Wonderful location Trying to come up with something, but nothing is coming to mind.

Holiday Rating: 5

This stay lived up to expectations and far exceeded them. First, the hosts Sofronios and Eos travel were absolutely fantastic. Their attention to the pre visit details were impressive. Always kept the lines of communication open at all times of the day. Concerned and attentive to every detail. The location is fabulous, both geographic as well as the physical property. The views are breathtaking, the pool magnificent, the home clean and detailed quite nicely. Remote and yet close to the main towns in the north east and hiking trails abound. In all, we would go back next week if we could. Thank you Sofronios.

Fantastic experience in Villa Regina. The pictures in the listing look like a dream when you look at it. Don't doubt... The villa's view, swimming pool and its location are amazing. Sofronios made everything self-serve and he was easily reachable. We were extremely satisfied with our stay and I'd highly recommend this villa if you are visiting Corfu.

Just perfect!

Holiday Rating: 5

Villa Regina was immaculate and very well equipped. Tge owners have thought of everything. The outside space is beautiful with one of the best views you could imagine. We had a wonderful few days and our only regret was that it wasn't long enough. Quite a steep walk up from Agni Bay so no good if you have problems walking. We didn't hire a car, which we were happy with. We will be back!!

Traumhafte Villa in den Bergen von Agni

Top Villa, traumhafte Aussicht aufs Meer! Sehr guter Service der Agentur. Ruhige Lage! Kein Lärm von Autos! Pool schön und regelmäßig gereinigt. So sollte es immer sein!

Excellent Beautifully restored villa with stunning views

Holiday Rating: 5

Fantastic accommodation with great facilities. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners and letting agency, any enquiries were dealt with immediately. The outside of the property is fantastic. Great pool, barbecue and best of all the stunning views across to Albania. The neighbours, both local and expat are very friendly and most helpful. The road to the villa needs careful navigation by car, but once familiar with it you should be able to drive to the villa confidently, however, it is possible to park on the main road above the villa and walk down the public path which runs through the other homes on the hillside. Note that one of the bedrooms is accessible via the outside staircase and is placed below the living room, therefore may not be suitable for those with young children. Overall we loved our stay at the villa. Our thanks to the owners who were delightful and accommodating. I would love to return as I found the whole bay peaceful and so beautiful. As we went during the first week of April all the tavernas in the bay and Kamari were closed, however, a short ride to Ipsos or Kassiopi - very beautiful, and we found several bars and tavernas open. If you are looking for a lively holiday, this is not for you. However, if you prefer the peace and tranquility of life, whilst enjoying a glass of wine whilst taking in the magnificent vista, then you will certainly enjoy this wonderful villa.

Agni Bay - Corfu

Agni Bay - Corfu

Agni Bay is one of the most popular spots on the North East of Corfu island.
It is only 24 kms away from the town and the airport, easily accessible by boat or car, even though the road is quite steep.
Agni is a small traditional neighborhood of Gimari community, set in a very picturesque bay with amazing views and features three tavernas, a couple of boat hire companies and a coffee-bar.
The place is rather modest and peaceful. The bay can get crowded with yachts and posh boats especially during daytime.
Some of the tavernas are offering a sea taxi transfer and it is an ideal place for a relaxing holiday away from them all.
Quite a few villas are spread on the slopes of the surrounding hills and a lot of trails are offering hiking opportunities to the adjacent bays or Gimari village.

Sports and nature

Exploring and walking There are some beautiful coastal and scenic walks where you can visit nearby bays, the picturesque little harbours of Kalami or Kouloura (approx. 25 min. Walk), which are one of the best highlights of the northeast coast of Corfu, then Kerasia (approx. 45 min. walk) and San Stephanos (approx. 1h 35 min. walk). On the other side of Agni you can reach Nisaki beach (approx. 25 min. walk), which is an isolated and unspoiled beach with vivid green and crystal water and a little further Kaminaki (approx. 40 min.walk) with two traditional taverns. Water sports Water sports can be found in the adjacent bay of Kalami, on the left hand side of the harbour or you can hire a boat and explore the unspoiled beaches of the northeast coast, becoming your own captain.

Nightlife

Nearest night life opportunities in Kassiopi, approx. 12 kms away, with local taxis available on request.

Culture & history

Local festivals On the 21st of May is the name day of Saints Constantine and Helen. The locals celebrate the name day of the Saints with a festival in the back yard of the church. There is plenty of food with "souvlaki" or grilled lamb and soft drinks, retsina wine or beers. The people are dancing to traditional Corfiot and Greek songs played by a live band. During the summer season, the festival of pie is organized at the same place. Local ladies are cooking their own pie recopies and offer them for free to everyone joining the party with a local band and traditional dances. Every year the locals organize a Varcarola festival in Kalami. This is an old Corfiot event, where small boats, decorated with lights, sail along Kalami bay as the choirs of the Municipality sing traditional Corfiot songs called "cantades".
