Zouli Athina apartment, in Kalami Corfu, is one of the two ground floor apartments in a complex consisted of four self - catering apartments known as Zoulis Apartments. The apartment is situated only a few steps from the famous Kalami Corfu and it is ideal for those who would like to spend a holiday in a quite resort. Zouli Athina has countryside views onto the olive groves and a view of Kalami bay. The apartment sleeps up to 4 people in 2 bedrooms. There is however a possibility to accommodate 1 extra child on request.

Layout

As you enter into the apartment, you come into the dinner/kitchen area with enough chairs for 4 people. Both twin bedrooms are on the right, sharing a private balcony with views to Kalami bay. Zouli Athina apartment features a family shower room, recently renovated to a good standard. Air-con is included in the price and also towels and linen are provided free of charge. Kalami Beach is only 20 metres away. You can access it from a path that runs adjacent to the property and leads down to this famous shingle beach. Kalami Beach has three (3) beach front restaurants, Kalami Beach, Thomas Place and the White House taverna. All them offer very good service and provide a wide variety of meals. Kalami Corfu has all that a holidaymaker would need. More than enough supermarkets, souvenir shops, cocktail bar and pool bars. You can also rent a boat from one of the jetties to go around and enjoy the day or pop on one of the frequently running boat that go around to Agni Bay, Kerasia, Nissaki or Agios Stefanos bay to try one of the many other restaurants and tavernas.

Just returned after 11 nights. The accommodation was perfectly located, very clean and provided everything we required (apart from a safe, which we had enquired about in advance and had been told there was one , which was not the case on arrival!) I would stronly urge for this to be addressed. However, we carried our valuables with us at all times and so got over the problem. It was not ideal but it did not affect our stay in any way. I would thoroughly recommend the apartment. It was clean and was cleaned, with fresh bedding, twice a week and the bins were emptied three times a week. The balcony was small but we knew this when we booked, so no surprise . The view from the balcony more than made up for the size. The Eos team were extremely helpful and quick to respond to any queries. We would have absolutely no hesitation recommending this accommodation and location, a stones through from the beach. Kalami is a very beautiful small resort but we managed lots of boat trips and excursion and free courtesy bus/water taxis to other tavernas which enabled plenty of variety during our stay.

We absolutely loved our stay in Kalami and are already scheming when we can come back! We stayed the entire month of May, and while the weather was not always sunny and the water was often too cold for swimming this time of year, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here on Corfu!

The apartment was very well presented and clean, the beach was a few steps away. Kalami is small therefore is quiet, there are a few tavern's which were busy, but not over crowded. A great relaxing holiday.

Lovely apartment by the sea

This is a lovely little apartment for a holiday base. It has fantastic air conditioning and great wifi. Its very clean and tidy with regular towel and bedding changes. The bathroom is nice and modern with a great shower and we always had hot water. The kitchen is a little dated but had plenty of equipment for cooking if required. There is a large fridge with small freezer. There are 2 good sizes bedrooms with 2 single beds in each. Plenty of clothing storage and extra blankets if needed. Kalami Bay is very small so this apartment within minutes of all restaurants and supermarkets.

Kalami Corfu

Kalami Corfu

Kalami is one of Corfu’s most picturesque spots. It is located 30km from Corfu town and is a settlement of Gimari village.
The main beach lies in front of the settlement and it is composed by white shiny pebbles and turquoise waters. Kalami beach is worldwide famous at it had inspired the English author Gerald Darrell for his novel “My Family and the other Animals”, during his stay in a village home, The White House which is still existing at the right hand-side of the bay. Apart from this, the beach has become popular for its cleanness and organization, while it offers a wide variety of water sports activities, boat hire and romantic coastal tavernas.
The settlement is surrounded by vast vegetation and lush green forests which attract many visitors.
Behind the beach you will find various accommodation amongst the trees, an ideal environment for peaceful and relaxing vacation and the best destination for the nature lovers.

Sports and natureAll types of water sports are available at the left handside of the bay. Walks among the olive grove to picturesque Kouloura or Agni Bay could be an amazing experience.

Nightlife

NightlifeKalami is a family resort with a couple of bars, where families can spend their relaxing evenings watching the moon rising from the Albanian mountain. Greek or Karaoke nights can be joined up should someone wish so. For the more demanding ones the nearest place is Kassiopi, just ten minutes drive away.

Culture & history

Culture & historyOn the 21st of May is the name day of Saints Constantine and Helen. The locals celebrate the name day of the Saints with a festival in the back yard of the church. There is plenty of food with "souvlaki" or grilled lamb and soft drinks, retsina wine or beers. The people are dancing to traditional Corfiot and Greek songs played by a live band. During the summer season, the festival of pie is organized at the same place. Local ladies are cooking their own pie recopies and offer them for free to everyone joining the party with a local band and traditional dances. Every year the locals organize a Varcarola festival in Kalami. This is an old Corfiot event, where small boats, decorated with lights, sail along Kalami bay as the choirs of the Municipality sing traditional Corfiot songs called "cantades".
